Aside from track academics are my main focus, I am always motivated and driven to get the A. I have lettered in academics all three years and am on track to letter for my final year. In addition to lettering, I also received an academic all-state first team award. I am involved in my school’s community and I volunteer as well. I have taken leadership classes, am a member of key club, and am a member of link crew which is a club that helps incoming freshman adjust and have a successful first year.
My true passion is track. I have been running and competing for seven years. I train year round and compete indoor as well as outdoor. My main events are the 100 and 60M high hurdles but during high school season I run almost every relay as well including the 4x100, 4x200, 4x400, and the sprint medley. Junior year I was the point leader for the girls team for the season. I am a leader on my team, serving as captain. I feel as though I am a successful captain because I am easy going and friendly but I also motivate my team to strive for greatness. I lead by example and step in to run whichever event is needed. I have been the reigning league champion for the past 2 years and all three years of high school I have qualified for the state championships and junior year I finished in the top 5 all in the 100M hurdles.
