Abby Oglesby '17 Recruiting Profile

I think I would be a good candidate for any collegiate team because I am not afraid to work hard. All my life I have been a hard worker in everything that I do: from running, to school, to swimming,  I am never one to slack off.  I am not afraid to reach new limits and push myself beyond my comfort zones. 

What also makes me a great candidate is that I believe in myself. I continue to improve by large amounts each season because I set ambitious goals and I have faith in myself that I can reach these goals, whatever they may be.

Running is truly my passion, and with passion comes a beauty in the sport.  I don't participate in my sport simply to get fitter or because everyone else in my family runs. I run because it makes me who I am, and the feeling I get when I know that I have left everything on the track is something that I would like to experience through my collegiate years and hopefully the rest of my life.

I can guarantee any college coach that they would not be dissapointed in recruiting me. I put 100 percent effort into my sport and will continue doing so my whole life. They can rely on me to "get it done" and to truly make a statement on the track.
