I am a high jumper, I am 6 feet tall and weigh 150 pounds. As a freshman my personal best was 5 feet 4 inches. Last year as a sophomore I won the Orange County (CA) Track Invitational at 5 feet 5 inches. I was named to the All-County Orange Country Track Team and was ranked number 2 sophomore high jumper in California. I did not jump before high school but have worked hard by staying late after practice and also coming in early on the weekends for more instruction. Last spring I joined VertCAL high jump club and have participated in Junior Olympics and other meets in southern California. I played club soccer until last fall, and have also played varsity water polo all three years and goalie for the last two. I attribute much of my strength to the toughness of these other sports. I plan to continue triple jump and long jump my junior high school track season this spring.
My GPA is 3.3 to 3.5. I am looking for a college of any size but with high academic requirements. I am not concerned by size, and a religious school is fine. My study field will be in medicine, either human or animal. While I would prefer a school in the western US, I would consider any place that is the right fit for me in all aspects of my life.
