Angelique Hill '17 Recruiting Profile

I was 10 years old the first time I ran the 60m hurdles in a district track meet.  It was at that moment that I fell in love with running the hurdles and have been motivated ever since, to improve every time I run.
I have always been a competitor as I began competition dance teams at the age of 5 and continued through the age of 12.  I put in over twenty hours a week in dance classes and team practices.  I understand the importance of working hard and putting in a lot of time to improve my skills.  I have taken this experience, dedication and commitment to the track.  I do club track in the summers to improve while off-season and enjoy the specific feedback my coach gives me to help me improve. I set personal goals every meet to improve and strive to get better every day.
My goal is to run in college and maybe someday in the Olympics.  I am a good person who doesn't do drugs or drink alcohol.  I choose not to get caught up in the social life so I can focus on my athletics and academics.  I am a leader who gets along with others and I look forward to the opportunity to be part of a collegiate team.
