I plan to participate in women’s shot put at the collegiate level. In 8th grade, I was watching the 2012 Olympics and was inspired by the amazing performances of the throwers, and that season I joined track and field. Since that very first week of practice, track has been my true passion. Because of this, I can’t imagine the coming season to be my last. I have always been a hard worker, but I find when track season comes around, that feeling intensifies and my sense of dedication and perseverance skyrockets. I strive to always perform my best whether it be in athletics or academics. While participating in three sports a year, one per season, I maintained a 3.9 unweighted GPA and 4.05 weighted GPA. I enjoy challenges, whether they are out on the field or in the classroom. Because of this, I have taken many AP, honors, and college courses throughout my high school career. Additionally, I participate in multiple clubs and am an officer for many of them. I put effort into all things I do, and because of that, I know I will fit right in with collegiate athletes as I pursue my passion.
