My name is Trysta Rucker and I am a dedicated, focused and goal orientated student athlete, I just finish my Sophmore year. I qualified for the 2016 Arizona State Track Meet in both the 100 and 300 hurdles. I made the finals of the 100 hurdles and was fighting for 3rd place when I clipped a hurdle and crashed, I knocked myself out for a few seconds but did get up and finish the race. I am looking to come back faster and stronger next year. I also started high jump this year and just missed qualifying for the state meet with a hight of 4'8".
I am interested in majoring in pre-med studies.
Before entering high school, I was a level 8/9 gymnast finishing 8th in the Western US Region (Level 7 Bars), and 1st (Level 6 Bars), 3rd (Level 6 Floor) and 2nd (Level 6 All-Around) in the State of Arizona. Entering high school, I chose to retire from gymnastics and become a first time group sport student athlete.
As a Freshman, I was awarded the Most Improved Player on the Track & Field Varsity Team, as well as the Student Athlete of the Month for my entire high school. I had numerous podium finishes, competing in Long Jump, 100m & 300m hurdles with a personal best long jump of 15' 5.5", finishing 13th at the 2015 State of Arizona Track meet.
I compete in two classes Nationally as a Factory sponsored BMX racer in the American Bicycle Association. I am very excited about my college career and would love to meet you.
