Personal Statement

At a young age, track was never a big deal in my school to many people. As for me, I see it as my passion. The countless hours of working on technique, mobility, and everything in between have and will make me the athlete I want to be. In college, I would like to go into the Medical Field. I have always been interested in the human body and how it works. As well, I find that this field is a very rewarding job to know that you are helping make someone's life a little easier. Academically, I know that Medical school has a high standard for the students they are accepting, and I believe that dedication to my schoolwork is very important to get there. In my mind, being good at something isn't enough. There is ALWAYS room for improvement, and I strive to reach those goals I have set, as well as surpass them. I know it isn't an easy task, but with hard work, dedication, and perseverance; all is possible. Throughout track, there can also be many ups and downs. We all face them, and I have in recent years, but I know I can overcome them. I knew to keep pushing and good things would begin to happen. Track has become a major piece in my life, and I will do whatever it takes to accomplish my goals.
