Since elementary school I loved running, as I grew up my passion for it strengthened. When I started middle school, I was so excited that I could finally join the track team. It wasn’t until my sophomore year when I realized I wanted to compete at the collegiate level. I have trained hard to get better as every meet went by. As I developed more determination I saw more progress. I have a long way to go, but I’m willing to go the distance by listening to my coach and working ten times harder.
In 2014, I was chosen captain of the Piedmont Girl’s Track Team. I helped my teammates so that we can all improve ourselves. I really like helping other people. In the summer of 2013, I had the opportunity to be a part of a community service project. I was asked to serve at a homecoming event for a wounded solider returning from Iraq. I really enjoyed this experience and it made me feel good to put a smile on someone else face.
After I graduate from high school, I aspire to graduate from college with a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing. Later, I plan to further my education by becoming an anesthetic nurse. I also would like to compete in track and field on a collegiate level and work hard to obtain championships.
