Hello, I want to play tennis in college and earn my degree in a sports management or sports psychology. Hoping that my major will lead me to a career that combines my enthusiasm for competitive sports and business.
After finishing my freshman year of high school, as the rookie of the year, I was seeded number one (Spring Singles) and two (Fall Team) on the Varsity team. The team made it as a 4A regional qualifier during the Fall and I made it as a singles semi-finalist, at District, during the Spring season. I also was a cheerleader, during my freshman year, and we brought the first National Championship to Clear Falls High School.
During my sophomore year, I continued with varsity tennis, along with taking Pre-AP classes. I was also inducted into the National Honor Society. Clear Falls High School also moved from 4A to 5A division. It was a challenge during the Fall season for the team moving to a new division; however, during the Spring season everything started to click. In girls doubles, at District, my partner and I made it to the semi-finals. It was an incredible experience going so far as the underdogs. As my junior year progresses, I enjoy being a leader on the Clear Falls High School varsity tennis team, enjoying NHS, staying strong academically, along with playing USTA tournaments. I am also taking dual credit, along with AP classes, and am doing an internship with South Shore Fitness Center in Sports Development.
The biggest news, for the 2014 year, I along with 7 other girls and 8 boys were chosen to be on the Newk's 2014 Touring Team. The team consists of 8 boys and 8 girls. We will have a month long journey playing tournaments in Europe. This is an accomplishment that I have been dreaming of since I was eleven.
The past three years have shown me that I love the team aspect of tennis and dream of playing at the collegiate level. My goal is to be a part of a college tennis team. I truly enjoy sport related activities on and off the courts. Competition is fun.
Thanks for taking time to review my page and I look forward to talking to you!
