Hello, my name is Sarah Durham. I would like to go into the field of sports management/marketing. A sports marketing/management class was offered as an elective at my high school in Virginia and my interest was piqued. I have been playing tennis since I was about 4 as my parents and 3 siblings all played. My older sister played Division I tennis and it has been my goal to play at the collegiate level. I have played for my high school team, playing line 1 singles and doubles as a freshman and sophomore, and was the "unofficial" coach of the team as I had much more experience than most of the girls on the team. I have been in the "supers" level of Texas tennis in 12s, 14s, and 18s. I was ranked in the USTA MidAtlantic section while we lived in Virginia. I have also played volleyball for the high schools I have attended, having played on the varsity in Virginia and the jv and varsity in Texas. I feel that being a two sport athlete has helped me with my fitness and my mental toughness. My family is very supportive of my athletic goals and I am truly appreciative of them. I feel I could be a tremendous asset to your team because of my ability on the court and my leadership skills off the court.
