For many years, my dream has been to join an American University and defend the school Tennis title, this is the reason why I am applying to USA Universities and would love to join a NCAA Women's tennis team.
I have been studying in private school, Academie Lafontaine in Canada, for 9 years. I have always studied extremely well in order to be successful. I am really hardworking and determine to achieve everything I start. From an Academic point of view, I strongly believe that my transcripts and my GPA of 4.0 are truly representing my ability and potential. For instance in Mathematics last year in grade 10, I closed my 3 semesters with 100%, 99% and 96% respective. My SAT score for Maths is 570 and 1050 for Maths and Critical Reading combined. My TOEFL scores is 97 out of 120, where most USA Universities have a 79-80 minimum requirement. I have obtained many mentions for the best grades of my promotion at my High school. In fact, my average for the past 5 years has always been between 90 % and 94 %.
I learn key values from my parents, who both went to university: education, perseverance, determination, organization, family, respect and live an healthy life. In respect to healthy life, I give great importance to sport. My first competition was at 6 years old in Mountain Bike Racing. Then I joined a racing team for which I raced for more than five years and won multiple races and seasons series Gold and Silver medals.
Also, I started to play tennis at 10 years old, and today I am competing in many tournaments. In Fall 2013, I went to IMG Tennis Academy for training purposes; my team won the second position in the college format tournament.
In addition I enjoy traveling around the world and meet new people. I definitively feel like I learn so much everywhere I went with my family. For instance, I lived one month in Hong Kong, 3 months in Paris, 2 weeks in UK and visited multiple states in USA.
To conclude, my long term goals are to become a very successful business woman by building and leading my own company as CEO and raise a family. The foundation of this global company will be based on innovation and customer service excellence, example of success stories like Apple inspired me. To achieve this professional goal, I will start by gaining experience in accounting in a large enterprise, ideally with an International company. The first short goal or step, is of course graduate in Accounting with a CPA Diploma.
I certainly believe that joining a NCAA Women Tennis team and a USA University can provide me all the tools required to turn my dreams into reality. Not only will I have the opportunity to study Accounting, but also create memories with other students and teammates of the NCAA team.
I look forward to start in Fall 2014.
