I was named Most Improved Tennis Player my Freshman year. After two years in the #5 and #6 spots, I am now a reliable win on my team, winning my matches in under an hour and not losing a match this year until the state finals doubles match. I expect to be the #1 seed in the fall of 2018. I am a solid and consistent tennis player and strive to get better every single day. I'm looking forward to playing college tennis while pursuing my goal of sports broadcasting. Additionally, I have accepted a position as tennis assistant working for my coach/trainer and the country club he is the pro at beginning this summer when school is out.
I attend a very small private high school in NC (134 students), where we have the opportunity to be involved in many academic and (very successful) sports teams. I'm currently on the Model UN, track and of course tennis team, as well as being named yearbook editor this year (as a Sophomore). Academically, I'm a solid student. I'm supportive of all of my tennis teammates, while striving to be the best I can be and contribute my all to my team. Prior to joining the UCHS tennis team, the team only won one match the entire season. Along with one other Freshman, and no other new members, our team won Conference my Freshman year and was third in the state. My Sophomore year, now 16 team members strong but with the same top six, we were state runners-up. The top four seeds will not be back in 2018, so I, along with the other girl who started with me, will lead our team for the next two years.
I have the drive, the desire, and the skills to play college tennis and excel academically. I look forward to speaking with you about how I fit into your school's program.
