I have been playing tennis for 10 years. I was born and raised in Germany, where I had alot of experience playing on clay courts. My mother and I moved to the US in 2006. I am around 5'3", have good footwork and move well on the court. I recently changed my backhand from two-handed to one-handed and this has really improved my game. I have been on the varsity team since freshman year and I also play many USTA junior tournaments during the off-season. I am the Varsity team captain at NVOT and love helping others with their game. Tennis is my passion and I am always the first one at practice and the last person to leave. I strongly believe in teamwork and encouraging each other on and off of the court. Not only do I help my teammates with their game and enthusiasm on the court, but I also set up many fundraisers to support the costs of balls, etc., and to soon build a "ball-wall" so that others may take advantage of it as well. I dream of playing tennis in college because I love the game and I love being part of a team. My desired majors are Exercise Science/Kinesiology. One of my realistic athletic goals is to be part of an amazing team that is competitive and energetic. I look forward to playing high level competitors, so that I can improve as much as I can.
