My height of 5'9" is a great advantage when it comes to serving and being at the net: the two aspects of my physical game that I find to be my strongest. Another key ingredient that strengthens my overall game is my mental toughness and perseverance. The accomplishments I’m most proud of include being voted Baystate Conference All-star as both a freshman for doubles and a junior for singles, as well as being part of a team that went from not winning a game in three years to winning more than half our games and beating the odds to become quarter finalists in the league. As the first ever junior captain of the team, I believe that I demonstrate leadership on and off the court ranging from always giving positive reinforcement to giving rides home. I believe I am hard-working and always push myself by working on my weaker shots and taking lessons in addition to training in the off season. When I picture college I envision myself staying close to home. I come from a big family and I don’t want to be too far away. I’m pretty open to different types of schools. Through school visitations, I’ve noticed my gravitation towards smaller schools, division 2 or 3,but academics is my main focus, as I am used to the competitive high level courses. My desired major is Biology; it’s always peaked my interest and I'm thinking of pre-med, to work in Pediatrics. My athletic goal would be to contribute to the team in any way I could whether it be through my record, work ethic, or always working to stay mentally tough.
