Personal Statement
My name is Mina Saygi and would like to introduce myself. I’m 17 years, a senior high school student and ranked around 1100’s in the Junior World Ranking and 1200’s in the Womens Doubles World Ranking. I am 1 meters and 77 centimeters tall and 50 kilos.
Tennis has taken a very important place in my life. Since the age of 7, I have trained intensively with my coach and team partners. Later on, about the age 12, I have started to travel for several tennis tournaments. Additionally, I’ve had the opportunity to train in Europe and America. In 2005 I trained in Bolletiteri for a month and in 2007, two weeks in Evert Tennis Academy. In 2009, I’ve played in Mouratoglu Tennis Academy for a couple of weeks and In 2010 I’ve trained twice in Romania in Pescariu Sports Club. Travelling abroad and training intensively with different players was a full of experience. I had an opportunity to watch and play with professional tennis players. For instance during my free times I use to watch Marcos Baghdatis and trainings who’s top 100 today.
I am a member of the school tennis team and we became Istanbul and Turkey interschool’s tennis champions in 2010 and 2011 consecutively. I was also in the team which became second in the Inter high schools (ISF) world championship in France in 2011.
I wish to be admitted to a Communications Program at your university on a tennis scholarship. I am ready to provide you with any documents, material, or information you require.
