Chelsea Motie '11 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5'7" singles player from Melbourne, FL. I have been playing tennis for 12 years and have been on the varsity tennis team for 5 years, earning 3rd Team All-State in 2008. I currently hold the number 1 position for 3 years running and the number 2 position during the previous. I have been the team captain for 2 years as well. Being a senior already, I realize that I have begun the recruiting process rather late, but I aim on playing competitively through out my college life. Where college locations are concerned, I would love to be at a school with a great college atmosphere. Ideally, I am interested in schools along the east or west coast, being from Florida and living close to the beaches, I feel that I would thrive pretty well. Though, I am also extremely willing to travel farther to a school with less out of pocket expense. Financial assistance is highly important to me because of my family situation, thus will have high need. Academically, I am interested in pre-medical studies, as well as biomedical engineering as my major.
