Jessica Walker '17 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Jessica Walker, though I generally go by Jessi.

I'm a junior at Torrey Pines High School, where I have been on the varsity team since freshman year. The girls' tennis team at TPHS has as of right now won 26 consecutive CIF championships, and we went undefeated in league this year. Primarily, I'm a singles player, but I have doubles experience as well. I train almost every day of the week, and play an average of two open tournaments every month.

My groundstrokes have a lot of heavy top spin, and I am pretty consistent. I also have great approach shots, and am working hard to improve my serve, which is already good.

I work as hard in the classroom as I do on the court. My entire academic career my semester grades have always been straight A's, I take honors classes, and an AP. I also speak German fluently, as my mom is from Germany, and am taking Spanish 4.

It's my dream to play tennis at a college level.
