Tennis is one of my top priorities and over the next few years I hope to achieve many of my goals. Overall I want to become a more aggressive player, be calm between points and stay positive even when I'm not winning. One of my biggest areas I hope to improve is my mental game. I hope to do this by being more confident and trusting my abilities. Currently my goals are to improve my offense and defense skills. In practice I am working on moving forward, taking the ball early and training my anticipation skills. Another goal of mine is to becoming more focused in practice and in matches. When I am more concentrated in practice it will transfer over when I play tournaments.
In the next couple of months I want my serve to be more consistent, faster, and have better placement. Also, I aspire to have better footwork so I can be more explosive to the ball. On my forehand attacking balls I want to develop more power with my legs and upper body. Also, I want to improve the placement of my volleys and finishing points at the net. In the upcoming High School season I hope to be the team captain. I know I can be a leader and help my teammates become closer. The focus of the coming season for me is to continue to grow as a player. Also, I hope to win State again, and this year go for state Overalls. Finally, my long term goal is to get a scholarship to a great school. I really feel like it will be an incredible opportunity for me to be apart of a college team. Also, I want to get into a Pre-Med program so I can have my dream career of being a doctor.
