Hello and thank you for taking time to visit my profile page!
I will be graduating in May of 2013 from Morgantown High School in Morgantown, WV where I am currently enrolled in 5 AP classes and striving to finish off my high school academic career with honors.
I began swimming when I was 11 years old. I moved quickly into the competitive track while swimming for Bowling Green Swim Club in Bowling Green, Ohio from 2006 up until 2012 when my family moved to West Virginia.
It has always been my passion to take my swimming through the collegiate level and experience being part of a growing and thriving team community dedicated to personal and group excellence, school pride, and community spirit lead by coaches with a passion for mentoring and developing the athlete as a whole person.
When I think of swimming at the collegiate level for a team and coaches with these qualities I get very excited! Well roundedness and excellence in all facets of my life are qualities that I value and strive to enhance. Swimming and being part of the great family life that I have at home have been the most influential tools in helping me both create and nurture these values.
If you were to ask me or the people I know what words they would use to describe me you would find them saying: positive, extroverted, motivating to be around, energetic, committed, determined, friendly and supportive, competitive, funny, the one who keeps people’s spirits up when they are sinking, a leader, a great team player, hard working, well-rounded, and someone who has a bright future in anything she sets her mind to.
I am looking for a school and team environment that appreciates these qualities I bring to the table as a scholar-athlete and will give me the opportunity to both freely share my gifts as well as continue to grow them. I am looking for a healthy team community – one that supports each person striving toward excellence and their best, appreciates and nurtures a healthy competition, and is supportive and positive.
I am looking for coaches who are intuitive and skilled at recognizing my aptitude and technical proficiencies, who can target skills that need to be developed and improved, who are willing to challenge me, be tough with me, provide me with excellent analysis and appropriate goals, and who will stay unwaivering and consistent in their belief and expectations of me so that I can become the best swimmer I am capable of being.
I invite you to contact me as you consider your 2013 recruits. In the next few weeks I will be uploading videos on Youtube, collecting letters of recommendation, and refining my profile. Please stay tuned!!
