Personal Statement
Being in the water is where I always have felt the most at home. I was taught how to swim very young, and joined a summer league swim team when I was ten. It was there that I discovered my love for swimming competitively. When I was thirteen, I decided to go further and join a year round swim team, Penguin Aquatics. Since then, I have continued to swim for Penguin Aquatics. My freshman, sophomore, and junior years I also swam for Interlake High School, receiving a varsity letter for all three years.
I am a hard working person in all areas of my life. I push myself to give my best in practices and meets. I am constantly looking for ways that I can improve my swimming. I have been homeschooled my whole life. My education required me to have good time management as well as a good work ethic. I have always maintained a GPA of 3.8 or higher.
I want to swim in college because I have a great passion for the sport, and can't imagine my life without it.
