I started club swimming at age 8 for the City of Plano Swimmers (COPS), which is Plano, Texas. It was then that I knew that I had found something that I loved to do and want to keep doing it as long as possible. Over the years I moved up groups till I eventually got to the top group, and was practicing at least 20+ hours a week. When I turned 14, my swimming career really took off, within a year I went from BB times to Texas State cuts. When I started my freshman year at Plano East High School I was one of the top female swimmers on the varsity team. Between my freshman and sophomore year my dad switched jobs, and we moved to Virginia. Which is why I now swim for the Virginia Gators in Roanoke. I practice every day after school, plus the additional morning practices. Also I started lifting, and dryland training at Stack Velocity Sports Performance 4 times a week.
Along with my swimming career I take school very seriously. I am currently in 3 AP classes, as well as Spanish 4. Every day I work my hardest to balance these hard classes with my swimming schedule the best I can, because maintaining good grades is always a priority of mine
Swimming is something I love, and I can’t imagine my life without it. That being said I would very much want to continue my swimming career through college.
