I hope to swim competitively in college and complete my education. I am fairly new to swim but every year in summer swim I have improved my times and my stroke technique. I hope to improve my times even more at the collegiate level. While school comes first in my household I have then learned how hard you have to work for grades, which has then led to me working hard for swimming. I have also been involved in other sports such as soccer and basketball.
Even though I am fairly new to swimming I have always had a love for the water from a young age. When I was 13 we decided to join a pool with a swim team. Joining the team was one of the best decisions of my life. When I started swimming I immediately fell in love with butterfly. During my summers and winters I coach swimming and I love teaching little kids the sport I fell in love with. Also for my summer team I have received the coach's award two years in a row. Even though this was my first year on my high school swim team and first year swimming year round, I made states and other very tough meets.
While attending Bishop Ireton, every year we are supposed to do community service in order to graduate, and honestly I love that they make us do this. I have helped in elementary schoosl and I love seeing the kids smiling faces when they have new people to play with. I hope to become a physical therapist and help kids and adults feel better when they are injured.
