My name is Morgan Schield, and I swim for the San Antonio Wave and Smithson Valley High School. Ever since I was seven years old, I have always had a smile on my face every time I had the opportunity to get in a pool. I view everyday as a new opportunity to push myself beyond my own expectations and to help encourage my teammates and the people around me to do the same. I look forward to swimming everyday, being able to train to accomplish my dreams, and doing the thing I love most. I feel what separates me from my peers is my desire to never stop putting my heart into swimming and to never let go of my aspirations. I strive to achieve my most difficult goals not only by training the hardest I can at every practice, but by perfecting the technique of my strokes. I perceive my sport just as important as my academics and I do so by working to maintain an all A's average in school. I find it very important to work as hard in the pool as out of the pool so I have the opportunity to participate in my sport at practice and swim meets. Competing in meets gives me a rush of adrenaline as I aim to perform the best I can not only or myself, but my team. I hope to continue my career while swimming in a division I school and I hope to continue doing the sport that will always keep a smile on my face.
