Hi Coach,
My name is Amanda Moore. I am a junior at Cinco Ranch High School. That is a 5-A high school in Katy Texas. Katy is about 20 miles west of Houston.
I am 5’4” and weight 143 pounds. I am a powerful swimmer. I have an athletic build and I am solid
muscle.
I am a little shy around people that I don’t know but don’t let that stop you; I would rather let my swimming speak for itself. Some terms that best describe me are hard-working, a team player, reliable and steady. I am good under pressure. I respect coaches and teammates. I am a good listener and very coachable. This year, my coach is looking to me to be a leader on our team. I am nervous but excited at the same time.
I made the varsity swim team as a freshman and have been the second overall women’s team point scorer for the past two seasons. Our high school women’s team has won district the past two seasons. This past season, we won regionals. I barely missed going to state. This year our goals are to win districts and
regionals again and I plan to qualify for the state meet.
With regard to swimming, I want to be a part of a team where I can contribute to its overall success.
I don’t need to be the star on the team. I just want to be counted on and help the team win.
I am open to all types and sizes of school. We are a Christian family that currently lives in Texas but my family is originally from the Maryland and Pennsylvania area. We have many family members that
still live there. My preference would be to attend school in that area but I am open to any schools across the country.
My current area of academic interest is in physical therapy so a school with a health science curriculum would be preferable.
