Personal Statement
My name is Lauren Williams, I'm 18 years old and am a senior this year at Central High School in Keller, TX. I am a very dedicated swimmer, and my goal is to some day swim at the collegiate level. I recently finished my long course season and was very happy to reach a couple of the goals I set for my season. I have earned the NCSA Junior national cut in my 100 fly and the bonus cut in the 200 yard fly and 50 free. I am striving for Jr. national cuts in all of these events for the short course season. The thing I like most about swimming is that there is always room for improvement,whether it be at a meet, a practice, or even at home!
Sometimes I'm quiet outside the pool, but I'm an outgoing and persevering competitor and student. I hope to go to a college that offers a good swimming program, and more importantly a good education. Currently I am ranked in the top 3 percent of my graduating class and I'm looking forward to the challenge of more advanced placement classes this school year as well as being a team captain for my high school swim team. I am ready for a very exciting year!
