I started swimming when I was in the tenth grade and I have made tremendous amount of improvement in the last 2 going on 3 years. Since that time, I have been certified as a lifeguard, I was one of the assistant coaches for the Greenview Swim team and captain for the Greenview USA and summer league swim teams as well as captain for my high school swim team. I do not take this sport lightly; I give my all every time a step foot into a pool; because I started so late with swimming, my times are not where a normal 17-18 year old female should be, but I can say since I have been swimming, there has not been a swim meet where I did not drop time on any of my events. I work hard for what I want and when I get it I work harder to keep it or improve it. After I graduate high school, I know college is where I want to be. I am currently deciding between two majors and what I want to do with my life after I graduate form college. I currently hold a 3.38 GPA. I am in two magnet programs, the iLink program as wall as the Convergence Media program. I hold the photographer editorial position for my high schools yearbook. I am involved with the National Honors Society, and I am Vice President of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and for two years of high school I was involved with the Columbia Urban League (Project Ready)
