I have been swimming for over ten years competitively and have loved every minute of it. I want to continue swimming in college because I want my college experience to be spent not only getting an education, but doing the sport I love most.
Being part of a supportive team is also very important to me. I think it is very important to be supportive of my teammates and create the positive atmosphere during practice and on race day. I love pushing my limits and capabilities and seeing how far I can take myself. I am always up for a challenge and some competition. I am a very driven person, and I do not let failure set me back but rather motivate me to be the best I can be.
Academically, I strive. Like with swimming, I am always stepping up to challenges, such as taking IB or other advanced classes, rather than backing away from them. School is very important to me, and I am looking for a school that is not just a good fit athletically, but one that will offer me an awesome and challenging education. Currently, I am expected to graduate with an IB diploma, meaning that I completed and passed the IB program. IB classes that I am taking expand my learning at a much higher level than I would have ever expected, and I can't wait to continue this expansion of learning at a university.
