What makes me a great recruit for any team? I am very hard-working, diligent and focused. So, no matter how tough it is, I am willing to put in my 110% effort in order to achieve the desired outcome. I am confident which is good in the sense of leadership and I like to always have fun no matter what. We could be in the middle of a hard set and I am usually the one to crack a joke (while still working hard of course). Things that set me apart from other recruits are I am again always looking to make someone laugh somehow or even just put a smile on someone's face, and I do consider myself to be an adaptable person. You could say I adapt and overcome all while enjoying the journey... it is what makes successes in the pool that much more satisfying.
I set some great goals this past swim season. Firstly, was to qualify for Canadian Senior Swimming Championships and secondly was to qualify for Canadian Trials in 2018. I have recently accomplished both goals!
My future goals for this upcoming season and beyond are pretty straightforward. I want to continue to improve on my times in my stronger swims as well as in other events. For this next season it is to ultimately make finals for an event or two at Canadian Trials. Furthermore, I want to attend an NCAA Division I school in 2018. Once there, I want to qualify for the NCAA Championships, then build towards qualifying for the Olympics for Team Canada.
Here's to the journey!
