Ever since I was eight years old, I've been a competitive swimmer. The first day I entered the pool I fell in love with swimming. The hard work, dedication, and team spirit drew me in. Since that first day, I've made great strides to be able to compete at the college level. Swimming at the collegiate level can open many doors for me and lead to life changing opportunities.
At practice, I lead by example. As team captain, I hold not only swimming, but my teammates as one of my top priorities. My coaches describe me as hardworking and dedicated, with the ability to put in tremendous amounts of work to reach my goals.
I put the same amount of work into swimming as I do into my school work. Throughout my high school career I've established a GPA of 4.41, balancing a schedule filled with swimming and AP courses. Outside the classroom, I hold volunteer work very close to my heart and make efforts to volunteer as much as possible. I'm also involved in several after school clubs.
When it comes to the college experience, I want to attend a school that will challenge me in both my academics, and in the pool. My ultimate goal is to find a school that can fulfill both of these criteria at the highest level possible. Most importantly though, I want to be someone my teammates and peers can look up to.
