My name is Kennedy Stallworth, I was born in Cincinnati,Ohio and swimming is my passion. My first encounter with swimming was through curiosity at the age of 3 years old; when I asked my mom to jump off a diving board. I starting swimming competitively when I was 7 years old; during the summer for recreational teams. I attended Clark Montessori my 7th grade year where I started my first years of junior high and high school swimming, with no initial experience in junior high or high school swimming. During my time at Clark my coaches always expressed to me that I showed great skill and had a lot of talent to be a fist year swimmer. At the end of of my 10th grade year I moved to North Carolina beginning my 11th grade year at North Davidson where I continued my passion in swimming with North Davidson's swim team.
I am currently a rising senior in transition to fulfilling my dream of becoming a midwife and the goal to strengthen my skills in swimming and become the swimmer that I know I could become. I harness and posses the characteristics of leadership, strength, honesty, respect and the willingness to have a open minded. Each characteristic is important but overall honesty and the willingness to have a open mind are most important because the characteristic of honesty is a life skill that creates personal truth that lies within one's self and leads to healthy relationships and the world at large and the willingness to have a open mind is also a life skill that allows people to be willing to receive and think with reason.
