2014 Highlights Personal Statement
I've been swimming competitively since I was six years old, and it has always been my passion. I have always loved the team atmosphere of swimming, and these past few years I have especially enjoyed the camaraderie of high school swimming. I hope to continue this love in college, and I aspire to grow as an athlete, student, and person. I am looking for a school I feel will help me grow in all of these traits. Although school and swimming are a huge part of my life, I also have a summer job as an assistant manager/lifeguard, and assistant swim team coach at a neighborhood pool. I enjoy the feeling of leadership and the associated responsibilities I have through these jobs, and I try to lead by example in and out of the pool.
