Mariah Jenkins '16 Recruiting Profile

I am a good candidate for your school because I am a strong leader, a good swimmer who wishes to continue to grow and I have strong collegiate and career goals and aspirations  While in college I hope to obtain my undergraduate degree in either Forensic Science or Criminal Justice. I plan to use that degree to become a Crime Scene Investigator. I would love to swim in college because it not only keeps me in shape, but it has been a huge part of my life thus far and I can't imagine not continuing it. I am looking for a college that will provide me with both the academic and athletic balance that I so desire. Ever since I became a competitive swimmer, I have been able to successfully balance swimming, school, and my other community based activities, I have been able to maintain A's and B's in school consistently.  I know it will be hard to continue with swimming on a competitive level in college, however, I am very focused, determined, and skillful enough to do so successfully.

I am different from other recruits because I am a well rounded student athlete.  I know that in order to succeed on the collegiate level I must continue to maintain my well roundedness while growing athletically, academically, and personally.
