Amber Lonaker '13 Recruiting Profile

I plan to major in English or Education.  I have decided  to become an English teacher for high school students. I also want to be a wrtier/author.  I  enjoy writing, especially fiction writing. My dream is to become an incredible teacher and a world rennown writer, selling books all over the world. Writing is my passion, behind swimming and of course God is first and foremost.

I have a huge heart and I feel the best way I can touch lives is through teaching, which is my biggest aspiration in life. Some high school students have been through a lot and they often think no one is there for them, that they are in everything alone, but I want to be there for them and let them know that there is always someone on their side no matter what comes their way. I also feel that I can do that through writing. I believe that that is where God wants me to be.

In swimming, I hope to achieve Divison I times by the end of the year. Over the next few years, I want to improve my times greatly and be the best swimmer and teammate I can possible be.
