Meghan Ringler '14 Recruiting Profile

The pool is the place where I am the happiest.  Since I was a toddler I have loved to be in the water: lake, ocean, hot tub, bath tub, or pool.  I joined the Forest Hills Central HS Girls Swim and Dive team my freshman year.  That year was tough, prior to that I had only been part of a "summer" swim program.  It started a fire inside me and I wanted to get better so that I would make the Varsity level my sophmore year.  I made the Varsity level and have been driven to improve ever since.  I am now in my third year of competitive swimming and want to continue swimming competitively in college. My goal my senior year, as a captain of the team, is to qualify in the top 10 at the MHSAA State Meet in the 50 free as well as in 3 relays. 

A smaller college/university is where I think I would fit in best.  My goal is to become a Social Worker or Counselor. Smaller class size and close interaction with professors is very appealing to me.  I would like to go to a school in the midwest or southeast, although region is a less critical criterea  in my search for a school.  I look forward to swimming in the collegiate level and am hoping there are opportunities out there for me!
