Liezl Ocon '17 Recruiting Profile

I am currently swimming with the Manitoba Marlins Swim Club, and have been with this club starting from a very young age. I have always loved being in the pool and so swimming was a sport that I genuinely enjoyed. During my years of swimming competitively I have learned many values that I will benefit from, such as the meaning of teamwork, perseverance and commitment. 

My life consists of balancing both long hours at the pool and school work that needs to be done, while having fun. I am on the honour roll at school and I have a very good work ethic, both athletically and academically. I am willing to learn many new things as a student athlete, that will further enhance my learning. I am also self driven and very supportive towards my teammates. 


I take my academics and swimming career very seriously, and would like to pursue both in the upcoming future. I am excited to find a college that will help me reach a personal goal of mine, which is to get a great post-secondary education. As well as one that will continue to help me improve athletically and push me to become better.
