Hi I'm Annette Lesnicki and I have been swimming for 8 years. I swim butterfly, backstroke and free but no breast stroke but am currently working to improve breast stroke in order to succeed in my IM events. I have been swimming my whole life and don't know what I would do with myself if i didn't swim. I have my parents to thank for being so dedicated to the sport with me. They drove me to every practice and meet and without that training i wouldn't be were I am today in the world of swimming. Swimming takes a lot of dedication and sometimes it gets hard to balance school, family life, and of course the training required but it was definitely worth it in the end. Swimming teaches you to balance your schedule greatly and that is something that I am so thankful for. Swimming has always been a huge part of my life even though sometimes it gets to the point were you think your done and don't want to swim anymore, i think back to all the effort i have put in over the years and all the good things that have come out of swimming such as the great friends, staying in shape, meeting my goals that i set for myself, and organization. I don't think I'm ever going to stop swimming even after i graduate college. Family and friends are a huge part of my life and I am so glad and lucky that I have family and friends that understand the difficultly of swimming and they support me through it all.
