I started swimming competitively at the age of seven, where I joined Cedar Park Swimming for about a year. I then switched to Nitro Swimming and was on the team for seven and a half years. Under Nitro, I achieved my first sectional bonus and Texas Age Group Swimming cuts (TAGS) before I moved to Dynamo Swim Club in Atlanta, Georgia. Since joining the team in March 2014, I have dropped nineteen seconds in my 1000 freestyle, five seconds in my 200 freestyle, eight seconds in my 500 freestyle and four seconds in my 200 I.M, in addition to my first sectionals cuts. After moving in December 2013, I made the varsity swim team and state swim team at my high school and won my second state championship that school year.
I am a very ambitious person. I work hard and try to succeed in everything I attempt. For example, I was a member of the 2013 Texas All-State Marching Band Champion and 2013 Texas All-Region Band. I was a member of the Georgia 6A State Champion Swim Team and I have taken a total of seven honors classes. I am currently enrolled in three AP classes. I was an elected officer in my school's student council in Texas.
My academic career is most important to me when considering a college. I would like to go to an academically rigorous school. My goals for my senior year academically is a 4.5 G.P.A with four AP classes (AP Government, AP Economics, AP Physics I, AP British Literature). My goals athletically are NCSA cuts in the 1000 and 200 freestyle.
I am hard-working, respectful, ambitious, and sensible. I always try to cheer on my teammates during practice and meets, sometimes until I cant speak. My family and my faith are both fundamental to who I am in terms of my character.
