I have been swimming since I was six years old. Ever since I saw Rebecca Soni swim the 200m breaststroke at the 2008 Olympics, I have aspired to swim at the collegiate level. As a top student in National Honor Society , a highly competitive swimmer, and a young woman engaged in leadership, I am interested in a prestigious university. I have always tried to be a good role model to not only younger swimmers, but also my peers. I am an encouraging teammate who can bring confidence and high spirits to the team. I am always one of the first person in the pool and the first to get up and cheer for my teammates when they compete. I am coachable, hardworking, and positive.
My entire life I’ve maintained a high GPA through my discipline. I also went on a mission trip to Jonestown, Mississippi, am a chairperson in Teen Leadership Council, am a member of Key Club, and volunteer throughout the community. I want to attend a college where I can be challenged both academically and athletically . I am open to all opportunities and strive to find the best fit for me.
