Personal Statement

I am a 57.95 100 yard backstroker from Brighton, CO. I have six years of club swimming experience and currently I swim for North Jeffco Swim Team. My junior year in high school I placed 8th at 5A High School State in the 100 backstroke. I have a 3.20 GPA and have taken Honors and/or AP classes every semester in high school. One goal that I achieved this year was I was voted as Team Captain of my high school team. I was also awarded the East Metro Athletic Conference Athlete of the Month for the month of January, 2013. I would like to be a part of a college swimming program where I would make an immediate impact. I believe that my best fit would be DI or DII schools. All of my most current times can be viewed on the USA Swimming website.
