Spring 2011Personal Statement
I love swimming. I love everything about it. I am looking to be a valued, contributing member of a college swim team where I can continue to grow as a person and improve as a swimmer. I have been involved in club swimming since I was seven years old and continually set goals and work hard at practice to achieve these goals. Working with my coaches and teammates has taught me many lessons regarding stroke technique, and proper nutrition along with rest. In addition to that, I think swimming is a lot of fun!
I am seeking a university that has strong science and engineering programs. I am currently taking advanced honors classes in math, science, and english, and it is important to me to continue to be challenged academically.
