Since I was 10 years old, my dream has always been to swim at a collegiate level, whether it be a Division I, II, or III University. I am the type of kid who has always been willing to put in the work in order to reach my dreams, no matter what the work is. I aspire to combine my goals of furthering my education with my passion and love for swimming. I think what makes me different from other recruits is my character to never give up. Every obstacle that has been put in my way, I have worked that much harder to break it down, and to not let those obstacles define me as a person or athlete. I have never let fear stand in my way of doing what I want to do, and I do not plan on starting. Swimming has taught me that things will not be done for you, if you want to accomplish something then you need to apply yourself and be determined to make it happen without any exceptions. I have applied that philosophy to many aspects of my life, especially my education. My education has always been my number one priority because without it, I won't be able to reach my goals. Because of what I have learned through swimming, I have maintained around a 4.04 GPA and be in the top 50 (out of 503) of my class.
