Caysi Shouse '11 Recruiting Profile

Ever since I can remember my life has revolved around soccer. It's been so long that I can't even imagine my life without it. My game is what makes me who I am. I amaze myself with how much drive I have to get where I want to be. By the time I was U13 I was guest playing for the U16 college showcase team for NSA Premire. With them I went to a showcase in FL,NC, and also Las Vegas Nevada.I learned more from those trips then I have from any others. I realized how serious soccer then was to me and how much it honestly meant to me. Thats when it all started for me. My skill and hard work has only gone up since then. Before high school I couldnt wait to start my freshmen season. I worked so hard before that and ended up reaching my goal of starting every game on varsity as a center mid. Freshemen year was a big year for me, and by the end of the season I had received all conference honorable mention. I was proud but I knew it wasn't nearly good enough. So I told myself that I was going to do everything I could entering my sophmore season to do and be better then what I was the year before. The whole sophmore season, alhough I was not a captain yet, my team as well as my coach turned to me as a leader. By the time my sophmore season ended, we placed second in the conference and I received first team all conference and was nominated for all state. I also scored the most goals in the confernce with 31 as a forward. I have to say my high school coach (Mike Bottum) really influenced my game by a long shot. He really made me realize the path I wanted to take and he knows me better as a player than I know myself. It's always been my dream to play college soccer. Just the thought of stepping out onto the field brings butterflys to my stomich. Im looking to study somewhere in the nursing/medical field. Currintly I am captain of my U17 Elm Grove premeire team here in WI. I am a very hard working dedicated player as well as a great team leader. I lead by example and am and have always been a team player. There is no I in team and I know that. I only want to pull out the best in myself as well as my team. I am willing to do anything to get myself where i want to be at the college soccer level. Dedication, heart, and drive for the game is what draws the line between a good player and a great player.
