My name is Mollie Fischer, I attend Shoreland Lutheran High School and will graduate in the year 2017. I have been playing soccer since I was 4 (13 years) and was the keeper for my select team in Burlington for 6 of those 13 years. As a goalkeeper I am very interested in playing soccer while I attend college. In addition to being a strong athlete I also prosper in academics. I have achieved a 3.75 my Junior year and now have an accumulative GPA of 3.8. My priority is, and always will be to attend a college that puts academics above athletics. I am a goal driven person and strongly believe that in order to achieve great things in life you need to be educated to do your job properly and effectively. For me, this job is teaching and nurturing elementary school children. I am looking for a college with a great elementary teaching program that also has an amazing soccer program. As a high school goalkeeper in the Metro Classic conference I have been given All Conference, All County, and 2nd Team All American Lutheran Award as a sophomore. As a Junior I have received All Conference and the 1st Team All American Lutheran Award. The All American Lutheran Awards is given to certain individuals who show that in addition to being great athletes, also have a strong connection to Christ.
My love for sports is not limited to just soccer. I am a three sport athlete who also enjoys playing volleyball and basketball. Athletics is a big part of my life. It teaches discipline, teamwork, and gives you the understanding that you need to work at something in order to achieve your goals. A big reason why I wish to play soccer in college is to stay focus and keep striving toward those goals. I want to find a college that best fits me, and I hope you find an athlete that best fits your program as well.
