Alyson Fisher '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Alyson Fisher. I am 5'3" and 135 pounds. I have been playing soccer ever since I could walk so it's not only a passion for me but a necessity. My junior year of high school soccer was really memorable to me because that was the year that  I feel our team really stepped up to the plate. We have a tough conference and hit a few bumps in the road but we came together to bring our team to state. Going to the state tournament gave myself and my team a chance to prove to everyone what Kimberly Soccer is all about. At the state tournament we beat River Falls to move on to eventually be defeated by Appleton North in the semi-finals. Even though we didn't win the state title, I feel like the way I played starting with regionals, through sectionals and at the state tournament improved so much from when I first started on varsity my freshman year. Since this has been my team for going on four years now, I feel like high school soccer is that much more important to me. Even though each year the varsity team changes in players just a little bit, each year they are all like family to me.  We all stick together and help each other out on and off the feild and it  shows in how well we play together. I am definetely a team leader and I enjoy every minute of it. I am not afraid to take charge and give out orders during a game because I expect the same out of every one of my teamates. A team can't work together without communication so that's something I always make sure to bring to a team. The reason I want to play college soccer is because I honestly can't imagine playing my last game senior year knowing that playing competetive soccer is done for me. Soccer is my life so I don't know what I would do without it. That being said, I don't have any goals to be on a certain college team or in a specific conference, I just want to play challenging, competitive soccer. I do on the other hand, have academic goals in mind. Right now I am taking classes to get my CNA(Certified Nurses Assistant), and am very excited to look more into nursing when I'm in college. I have always wanted to work in the medical feild so obviously I need a school that will help me furthur pursue those occupations. My preference as far as the size of the school is definetely a bigger school. I love being around people and personally I think the bigger the school, the more oppertunities you have to be succesful.
