As a female athlete and scholar I strive to be the best I can be in every aspect, on the field and in the classroom. Whether it is my physicality, mentality, teamwork, leadership or sportsmanship, I give 110% 24/7 to meet the goals of my team and personal goals I’ve set. I have recently encountered an injury, and while this has been a very discouraging set back during my Junior year, I have learned how to become more than just a player on the field. I have become more reflective as a player off the field and learned to see the field in a different way. While going through this unfortunate experience it has also made me realize how much I love playing the game of soccer and how devoted my mind and heart is to the sport! It has taught me how to deal with adversity and learn to be patient. I have realized that while supporting and cheering my team, as a team captain, it has truly grown and matured me as player. I have found ways to motivate my teammates and have become our team’s key fitness trainer.
My academic goals for college are to excel within the medical field and in the future hopefully attend medical school. I hope to some day be able to help top athletes with sports injuries.
