Personal Statement

"I'm not telling you it is going to be easy, I'm telling you it's going to be worth it!"
This quote shows me so clearly. On no level have my parents given me an easy life. I was raised in a pretty traditional home with rules and chores. This taught me structure. I have worked for everything I have and  if I ever wanted to go somewhere you better know my room was clean and the dishes were done. Responsibility played a role with my parents as well. They always held me accountable for my actions and words. As a student I was taught patients, with my teachers, class mates, parents, and even myself. From a young child I loved the idea of knowledge! It made me excited. I was the kid who wanted and loved to go to school! I still do! Knowledge is power, and you can never have enough knowledge. As a captain running 3 years now, I know the struggles it takes to be able to lead. I know the impact a leader has on a tight group of people, I can read people very well. This transfers to my playing. Just like reading people I can read the plays. But that is something I will just prove to you! I love soccer and I can step up and be a leader, BUT if someone is better suited to step up, I am more than willing to step back and let them shine. Again seeing people learn is like seeing them gain knowledge and you can never get enough. Someday I wish to be a 1st grade teacher. On top of grades, soccer, club and high school, and household duties I thrive to be successful at each task I encounter. From starting my own small babysitting business which still lives today; I am now a part time Nanny. In the Running Start program on track to graduate with my AA and my High School Diploma. I am strong and independent, a team player and flexible. I can lead or I can motivate others to lead. I am responsible and trustworthy. So yes I know I have a full plate, and I know it is NOT going to be easy. but the funny thing is, no one every said it would be. Because in life anything worth having is worth working for. I believe in myself, this part of my life is SO going to be worth it!

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
