My style of play has developed over ten years of soccer experiences to become both unique and highly impactful for the teams on which I play. I have a solid technical foundation, mostly from the supplemental skills training I’ve committed to since age 8. My skills have progressed to the point where I was the featured female youth player in an internationally-produced and commercially distributed soccer skills instruction video by one of the world’s leading soccer skills programs. By learning how to effectively handle the ball, I now have a solid first touch, the ability to work in a small space, and composure under pressure. At this point these vital techniques have become second nature. I enjoy watching professional soccer matches to observe the players and learn more about what makes them successful. I consider myself a student of the game, scouting for movements and tactics that I can recreate with my teams. I have trained and played with multiple teams, most recently with my ECNL team, state ODP team, and WPSL team (as one of the youngest players ever to be selected to play in this league). Over the past five years, I have trained frequently with older boys’ premier teams as well to learn from that environment’s pace of play. I have learned and grown from all of these experiences so that I keep improving the value I contribute to my teams
I continue to improve daily through my work ethic. On every team that I play with, I come every day to practice and games with a mental attitude to put in my best effort, just as I will do with a college team. This hardworking attitude carries into my study habits in school. Throughout high school, I have maintained a 4.0 GPA while balancing my soccer career which includes regular out-of-state travels. Off the field, I am friendly, relatable, and honest. I enjoy forming friendships and connecting with other people. I also find these qualities to be very useful on the soccer field, as I enjoy being part of a team and learning the habits of my teammates so that I can play effectively with them. I mentioned earlier my knowledge of the game. Although I am a natural attacking mid, this knowledge has made me adaptable to various positions, including forward and outside mid. When playing on a college team, I will bring my technical and tactical knowledge as well as my work ethic to every opportunity.
