My name is Katie Balauro, and I fell in love with soccer at a young age and have been competing at the club level since 5th grade. I currently play for Spokane Shadow at the RCL level, with coach Chris Stiles who has been my coach since the beginning of my club days. Soccer has been such a major part of my life due to the amount of time and commitment put into playing year round. I am an attacking player that loves to get the job done and score, while also assisting others in scoring. I typically play in the midfield. usually in the center or left wing. I would describe myself as a play maker because I am able to see the potential for a goal scoring opportunity. Although my days of high school soccer are over, I was able to end with getting first team all league my junior and senior season, being voted offensive MVP all four years, and scoring 48 goals in total. Because of my love for the game, I would love to continue playing into my college years. If I can use my talent to assist in paying for my school and becoming a dental hygienist, it would be a dream come true.
