Since I began playing soccer over 10 years ago, I've dreamed of earning a position on a collegiate soccer team. When I am on the field, I push myself and my team members to perform at a high level. I play the center back position and I'm very vocal and encourage my teammates at all times. I think one of my best attributes is my ability to anticipate the play and react in a calm and organized manner. I feel I have above average foot skills which is evident in how I clear the ball. I think you will see that I am very easy to coach, have a very positive attitude and am dedicated to the sport.
Academically, I am an above average student and enjoy most of my core classes. I spend a great deal of time on my school work and take pride in the material I turn in. I will be enrolling in the "College in High School" program in order to get a jump on my first year of college credits. I see no reason why I can not continue with the same success I have had after graduation and look forward to the challenge at the next level. I am a member of the Arlington chapter of the National Honor Society and listed on the current Dean's List. I also participate as a Link crew member at AHS. This is a mentorship program designed to ease the transition of the underclassmen into the high school environment.
Outside of school, I participate in collecting food for our local food bank, work on behalf of the Arlington Fire Department during our Fill the Boot campaign benefiting the MDA. During the summer I also participate as an instructor at my churches vacation bible school.
