Personal Statement

The first time I stepped onto a field, I knew it's where I belonged. I have learned to love and respect the game of soccer and playing the game is like breathing. Playing soccer is like coming home, It's where I've had my highest highs and lowest lows. It is my pain. It is my joy... It's therapeutic to suit up for a game, hear the whistle and combined all you've worked for as a team, into the solidarity of one machine. "Great soccer when executed, is like a dance," a mentor and coach once told me..and I too believe this is true. My desire to grow as a player drives me to give more effort everyday.

I play fierce but, with respect. Both on/off the field I represent my coaches, club, school, teammates and women athletes everywhere...including those who've worn the jersey before me..and those little girls who've yet to play. Each day I know I have something to offer and something to learn. I will never ask something from a teammate, that I'm not already giving myself.

Beyond the physical expectations of a player at this competitive level (Premiere, FWRL, ODP), I'm certain my strengths of being an acutely intelligent player, creative, precise and fearless under pressure would continue to be an asset on a team at the collegiate level. Coaches compliment my capacity to play selflessly and adapt to a game as needed. I have a pivotal edge and an ability to create opportunities, even when it appears there are none. This last year I was ranked: top 3 in the state for assists and at a showcase in July 2014, I earned: most goals scored by a single player in a tournament- with 6 goals in four games, including a PK game winner...Yet, neither of the two stats being more important than the other.

Attending a smaller vs. larger school in a state with a warmer climate than Utah, sounds ideal! However, I'm certain of the many incredible choices I haven't had the chance to become acquainted with yet. What I know for sure; the level of soccer played is secondary to obtaining an education from a great school..One that supports the balance of academics, athletics and the entire college experience. Where ever I can achieve this goal, I would be honored to play soccer with that program.

Thank you in advance for reviewing my profile. Good luck to all athletes perusing the next step!

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
